After working from home for 8+ years, I’ve developed a list of tips and strategies that I found over time that worked well for me and you may find them useful as well:
Do you love clutter?
I know that may sound like a silly question, but I want you to be honest with yourself. Do you love your clutter? The majority of people I meet would say no and most just sometimes don’t really understand how things got to a point where they are surrounded by piles in their homes and lives. There are reasons why we clutter, and I feel to get organized is to first understand the why then deal with the stuff. Following are four reasons why we don’t let go in hopes that it is the first step to you getting organized.
A Clean Slate
As an organizer when I enter a home or office I see things differently than my clients. They see piles, clutter and a mess. I see a space that is clear of all piles, things are within reach and they can find things the first time they look. My task is to eliminate the piles, so clients have an organized space.
